PROMINENT KIMBERLEY BUSINESSMAN PIET ELS HAS DIED

Prominent Kimberley businessman and property mogul Piet Els has died. The elderly Els and his partner were brutally attacked with iron rods in a robbery on his farm outside of Kimberley on 24 January 2018. He was admitted to a Kimberley hospital’s intensive care unit and has been on life support for a while.

Els reportedly died at midnight having been taken off the life support machines.

Over four men were charged over the attack and have already made a number of court appearances in Kimberley. The state is expected to now charge the accused in the case with murder in addition to robbery, assault attack on Els’ partner. A number of family friends of Els and his son Pieterkie have been speaking to NCNN.LIVE confirming the death of one of Kimberley’s most known and asset rich businessmen.
